I'm looking to upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, but I'm having trouble finding a good deal. The best offer I have right now is €290. Does that seem overpriced to you? Also, if anyone knows where to find it cheaper, I'd love to hear about it!

€250 would be the upper limit for the 5700X3D in my opinion. I got mine for a bit less, but I've noticed prices have jumped since then. Just remember, for €290, you could be looking at a whole new AM5 setup, which is probably the better long-term investment.
If you're really set on sticking with AM4, I'd say the 5700X3D should be around €200 max. For €290, you could likely find a decent AM5 setup. Plus, don't forget about your motherboard compatibility because some older ones might not unleash the full potential of the 5700X3D.
Honestly, €290 is a bit steep for the 5700X3D. You could get a Ryzen 7600 with an AM5 motherboard for that price, or even sell your current setup to fund a switch to DDR5. The performance boost from the 7600 is pretty similar, so it might be worth considering a complete upgrade instead.
Totally agree! The 7600 performs closely to the 5800X3D. If you're going to pay that much, definitely look into getting a B650 board and a 7600 CPU.
If you can hold off, I'd suggest saving a bit more to jump to AM5. The 5700X3D is a solid CPU, but it's really only worth it at around €200 if you're staying on AM4. Prices on AM5 parts have been fluctuating, so keep an eye out for sales.
Honestly, I think that's way too much. If you're paying €290 for the 5700X3D, you might as well invest a bit more and upgrade to an AM5 platform. The benefits would definitely outweigh sticking with the older tech.
I know the prices for RAM and motherboards can be a shock these days. It seems like upgrading everything is way more expensive than it used to be.

I feel you on that! I'm also a bit lost with all the technical stuff. I have a B450 and it's not guaranteed to support the 5700X3D properly.
