I'm looking to build an affordable PC that can handle video editing and some gaming. My budget is around $1,000, and I want to keep things minimal—no flashy lights or extra features. I need at least 32GB of RAM and preferably two storage drives, with a minimum of 1TB each. I'm flexible on the parts and brands as long as they're compatible. I already have a mid-tower case and an operating system. I have a link to my initial idea for parts, but I'm open to suggestions. Also, I'd like the power supply to be a bit more powerful than needed for future upgrades.

For just a bit more than your budget, you could go for a system that's faster and uses more up-to-date hardware. For example, look at this setup:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
- 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM
- 1TB NVME SSD
- Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU
- 850W Gold-certified power supply
It totals around $1064, but it'll greatly improve your performance for video editing and gaming!
Have you thought about checking out used PCs? Depending on your location, you might find some great deals on platforms like Facebook Marketplace. You can often get a decent GPU or CPU much cheaper than building new. I built my PC for half the price by sourcing used parts, and it works great! If you're unsure about building, it could save you both money and hassle.

I thought about that, but I'm worried about getting something that's not fully functional. Plus, my family isn't computer savvy, so I can't really rely on them for old parts.
