I'm planning to build a computer for my little brother's birthday and Christmas. He's currently stuck with an old desktop that can barely handle Roblox and runs at just 15fps. I'd like to keep the budget around $800. I'm not very knowledgeable about Radeon graphics cards, but I'm a fan of AMD CPUs. What suggestions do you have for building a decent starter PC for him?

Even though this post might fit better in a specific PC building community, I still want to help! To stick to your budget, consider looking for a used GPU. Check out this build: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wchwxg]. It's on AM5, which will let you upgrade later without a complete rebuild.
Have you looked into local listings like Facebook Marketplace or eBay? People frequently sell older but still good PCs. Your local repair shop might also have great deals. Remember, whether you go for nVidia or AMD graphics, they won't clash with the CPU brand, so you have flexibility there. Make sure to consider your brother's age and whether he can take care of the computer. You can always upgrade bits and pieces down the line as long as they fit the motherboard. Good luck and happy birthday to him!
I've seen a few listings, but I'm worried about getting bad parts. I want something reliable since his current one is really terrible. I'll keep browsing the marketplaces!
That's a really nice gift idea! Just to confirm, are you working with a budget of USD?

Oh! This setup looks great! I was also thinking about using my old 3060 for an upgrade and giving my brother a boost as well.
