I know people often suggest just using Arch in a VM, but I'd rather find a beginner-friendly Arch-based distro to get comfortable before making the switch to vanilla Arch. Just a heads up, while Arch-based distros can help you get a feel for Arch, they don't necessarily simplify the complexities involved in maintaining Arch long-term. You'll still need to be hands-on with updates and configurations, so be ready for that!
