I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup and need some advice. Currently, I play most games at 1080p on a 60Hz monitor, but I'm planning to get a 120Hz 1440p monitor soon. I'm not interested in 4K gaming at this point. My current specifications include an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM, among other components. I enjoy playing some older titles like Borderlands 2 and Payday 2, as well as newer games like Helldivers 2, Battlefield 6, and Cyberpunk. I'd love to run Cyberpunk at high settings while aiming for a stable frame rate in the other games. I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 3070 or 3070 Ti, which I can find second-hand for around £275. Though I've heard suggestions for the 5060 series cards, I've read they have issues with older games, which I want to avoid. I've also seen the RX 9060 XT recommended, but it seems to cost around £360, while offering more VRAM and being new. Should I go for the 3070/TI, or are there other options that might suit my needs better? I'm open to upgrading other parts eventually, but right now, I'm focused on the GPU.

The 50 series cards handle most old games without issues; you might just run into a couple of titles with outdated PhysX support that don't work well. What’s your full budget? Because while you mentioned £275 for a used card, the 5060 Ti is pricier at around £400. For 1440p gaming, consider the RX 9060 XT or RTX 5060 Ti, as they both excel in that area. If buying used, an RTX 3080 or RTX 4070 could also be solid choices, assuming you can find them at good prices. Just a heads up, avoid getting an 8GB card for 1440p gaming! You might also benefit from upgrading to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU for better performance overall.

That's good to know, I didn't want to limit my gaming experience. Keeping my 2060 as a secondary card could be handy too! I haven’t set a strict budget yet, but I want to avoid a total rebuild right now; aiming for about £500 sounds doable for a GPU upgrade now and maybe a CPU later. The RX 9060 XT is coming in around £350, plus I could snag a 5800X for £140. You're right, though, if I go for new parts, I prefer warranties. So, I'm deciding between the RX 9060 XT and 5060 Ti right now—do you think the 5060 Ti is worth the extra £80?
