Can I Edit a Blu-ray Movie to Remove Certain Scenes?

I'm a big fan of a particular movie, but there are a few scenes that I find unnecessary and kind of NSFW. I'd love to know if there's a way to remove these scenes from my Blu-ray edition, specifically, to make an edited copy that I can place on the physical disk without it looking ridiculous when I watch it with friends. Any advice?

I get why you might want to skip the Margot Robbie scene from 'Wolf of Wall Street', but remember, over-editing classics can sometimes change the overall feel of the movie. It's a tough call!

You're looking at a bit of work here. Essentially, you'll need to rip the movie from your Blu-ray, use video editing software to cut out the scenes you want to remove, and then burn it onto a new disk. Just a heads up, though – if you're worried about looking odd, playing an edited version might catch even more attention than just watching the original!

Editing the original Blu-ray directly isn't possible once the disc has been finalized. However, you can create a new version by ripping the movie to your computer, editing it to remove the scenes, and then using a Blu-ray authoring tool to burn it onto a new disc. Keep in mind that this could infringe on copyright and DRM regulations in your area.

You can't just change the original disk, but if you have a Blu-ray burner, you could make a new copy. The process involves using a video editor to cut out unwanted parts and then burning it onto a new disk. Just know that even owning a physical copy doesn’t exempt you from copyright issues with these edits.
