I'm experiencing low GPU utilization while gaming on my new setup with a 14700K CPU and a 5080 GPU. I'm playing at 1440p and I expected to see much higher FPS. My temperatures seem fine, so I'm not sure why I'm getting only about 50% usage. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Is your BIOS fully updated? Sometimes outdated BIOS can cause performance issues. If you’ve recently got a new CPU, ensuring that your BIOS is current is crucial. The latest updates often help with power limits and overall stability.

Have you checked if Vsync or any frame limits are enabled? That could definitely affect GPU usage. Also, it might help to provide more details about the games you're playing, the GPU usage numbers, and your CPU temperatures for better insights.

Check to see if your CPU is power throttling. Some BIOS versions enforce strict power limits that can hinder performance. You might want to try disabling the Intel profile and see how it affects the temperatures. Disabling Hyper-Threading and undervolting the CPU can help reduce heat without sacrificing gaming performance.
