Hey everyone! I'm looking for some guidance on making the final switch to Linux. Right now, I have Linux installed on my second NVMe drive, but I want to move it to my main NVMe drive where Windows is installed. I'd like to erase Windows completely, but I need to keep some files, like my WoW game files. I'm considering either doing a clean install and formatting the drive or trying to do a side-by-side installation and then deleting Windows afterwards. What do you think is the best approach to handle this migration smoothly?

When I switched to Linux, I just backed up my important documents and photos onto an external drive before installing. It was pretty straightforward!
For a clean migration, I recommend copying all your essential files to an external drive and then doing a full clean install. External storage is really inexpensive now, just make sure to choose a reputable brand since there are many scams on sites like Amazon.
Thanks for the tip on the external drives!

I’ve thought about going that route too. I’d need a big enough external for WoW, but they’re pretty affordable these days, right?
