Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading to a 5950X for around $210, but I'm weighing my options. Right now, I can also get a 5800X for $150, an 5800X3D for nearly $600, or a 5700X3D for about $550. Currently, I have a Ryzen 3600X paired with a solid B450 motherboard from Gigabyte. My main tasks include gaming, 3D modeling, and slicing files for 3D printing. I'm looking for components that will keep me future-proof, but I'm not sure if spending more on the 5950X is worth it compared to the others. Any thoughts?

If you're mainly gaming, I don't think the 5950X is the best choice. The 5800X would probably serve you better given its price and performance for gaming—16 cores is overkill just for that. But if you're leaning towards productivity and 3D work a lot, then it might be worth considering the 5950X as it can handle those tasks better.
