I accidentally dropped a bit of sweat on my motherboard while installing the heatsink, but I quickly wiped it off with a dry microfiber cloth. I asked an AI for advice, and it suggested waiting 24 hours before powering it on and recommended cleaning it with alcohol. Should I go ahead with the alcohol cleaning? Could my motherboard be damaged?

Cleaning with 90% isopropyl alcohol is a good idea, just make sure to let it dry completely afterwards. Your sweat contains water and salts, which aren’t great for electrical components. But since your computer was off, you should be okay!
Is isopropyl alcohol really necessary? I don't have any at home.
