I recently purchased a PC from someone on Facebook, but it turns out they blocked me afterward. I still have their user account logged in, which I confirmed is linked to their YouTube name. I want to know if replacing the hard drive would let me use the PC I paid for, or if it's a total loss. I've tried reaching out to the seller with no luck, and I'm considering reporting the issue to the police if nothing can be done.

You can reinstall Windows using a USB stick, which should let you start fresh.
