I found an 8TB NVMe SSD on Amazon for about $280, but I've never heard of this brand before. Does anyone think it's worth the risk, or could it be a scam?

8TB for $280 does seem sketchy when the average per TB price is usually around $50 or more in the US, and higher in India. Plus, there's no reviews yet—that's a red flag. If you do get it, you should really run tests beyond just the basics to make sure you aren't getting scammed.
Honestly, I'd be cautious. While it's PCIe Gen 3, which is better than SATA, it's not the latest tech. Plus, with an unknown brand, minimal products, and no reviews, it's tough to trust. The price just feels off—like, are you ready to spend $280 on something that might not live up to expectations?
Yeah, but Gen 3 speeds can still be decent for storage. I'm just putting this in an old laptop or a NAS for movies, so if it works fine for that, I'm okay with it.
I clicked on the link and was shocked at how expensive it looked at first, only to realize it's in Indian rupees. That brand isn't even sold in the US, which makes it suspicious.

I know, and taking the heatsink sticker off just to check the chips is risky for returning it. Hopefully just checking with software is enough.
