I'm using an HP Elitebook 850 G8, which comes equipped with 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports. At home, I have three 200Hz MSI monitors. I've tried connecting the monitors in various ways: two monitors with USB-C to DisplayPort cables and the third monitor via HDMI 2.1. Unfortunately, only two monitors seem to work at a time, even though I can get them all to display at 200Hz.
Next, I experimented with an MST hub that connects USB-C to two DisplayPort connections. That setup sometimes allowed all three monitors to run at 200Hz, but there's a catch: when Windows turns off the monitors due to inactivity, one of the connections drops to a maximum of 75Hz, and I can't get it back to 200Hz unless I reconnect the hub.
So, my question is: how can I resolve this issue? Is there a specific hub or docking solution that will let me use all three monitors at 200Hz simultaneously, or is that just not possible? Both of my Thunderbolt 4 ports are rated at 40Gbps, and I'm really looking for a hassle-free setup where I can just log in and have all three monitors work at 200Hz without having to mess around with connections every day. Thanks in advance for any help!

It sounds like you might need a powered dock to effectively support all three monitors at 200Hz. A powered dock connects to an outlet, providing additional wattage that some setups require for multiple displays. Just keep in mind that most laptops can natively support only two external monitors. I recommend looking into docks specifically designed for high refresh rates with multiple outputs.

Good point! When choosing a dock, make sure it explicitly states that it supports 200Hz across three monitors. Double-checking the specs is crucial to ensure compatibility.
