I'm dealing with a frustrating problem on my ASUS TUF laptop, which has an Nvidia 3050 and an Intel i5 12700H. I bought this laptop two years ago, and after a couple of months, I installed the Nvidia app but noticed a significant drop in my FPS while playing CS:GO and Fortnite. My FPS went from 220-250 in CS:GO down to around 130-160. I've tried everything, including a clean install of the latest driver version (581.80) using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in safe mode, but nothing has improved. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out.

I've got a guide that might help! Check the ongoing issues section if you're using a controller, as it can fix the FPS issue. If you're not on a controller, follow the optimization steps, especially step 9 where it suggests rolling back to Nvidia driver 577 instead of the latest version, and then steps 10 and 11 for further optimization. Also, make sure your laptop isn’t overheating as it can affect performance. When you fix the problem, let us know how it worked out!
First off, make sure your laptop is actually using the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated one. Many laptops have both, and sometimes settings can get switched around. It’s possible that the driver installation altered something, so check if the laptop is recognizing when to use your Nvidia GPU for heavy duty gaming tasks.
Any tips on how to check that?

So you think going back to driver 577 is better than 581?
