What CPU and GPU do I need for casual gaming?

Hey everyone! I've mostly played on PlayStation, but I'm looking to get a PC for some specific games. I want to keep it affordable and mainly play Simpsons Hit & Run, CS2, and Football Manager 26 (plus the annual updates). I'm considering both building one myself or buying a prebuilt system. Any suggestions on what CPU and GPU I should look at?

Those games have pretty modest requirements, especially CS2. If you're building your own system, aim for around $700. I’d suggest checking out this parts list for some great options: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PHZ9b2](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PHZ9b2). You could even score a used system with similar specs for about $400 to $500 since those parts are quite common.

Thanks a ton! I'm definitely saving this for future reference. Any chance you could suggest a good monitor to go with it?

I think a Ryzen 5 9600X with a Radeon 9060 XT would be a solid choice for those games without breaking the bank.
