I'm currently gaming with a 5800X3D, a RTX 4090, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, mainly playing CPU-heavy online games like Escape from Tarkov, Path of Exile, and World of Warcraft at 4K 240Hz. I've noticed that Microcenter has some great bundles on the 7800X3D and 9800X3D that are tempting me to upgrade to AM5 and DDR5. The 7800X3D bundle is priced at $630 and the 9800X3D bundle at $780. Given my gaming setup, will these upgrades significantly improve performance in CPU-bottlenecked games, or should I stick with my 5800X3D a bit longer?

If you're happy with your current games, there's not much need to upgrade just yet. The 5800X3D is a strong chip, but if you're itching for an upgrade, the 9800X3D might be a better long-term investment since it offers a noticeable boost, especially in the games you mentioned.
Honestly, for 4K gaming, the difference will be minimal. If you game at lower resolutions like 1080 or 1440p, the upgrades would matter more. At 4K, you might be better off waiting for the Zen 6 X3D chips to arrive.
At 4K, you're unlikely to see a big improvement by upgrading. Most of the workload falls on the GPU, especially with your setup, so unless your current performance is bothering you, it might be worth waiting for the next generation of CPUs.

But if you've got some extra cash, now might be a good time to buy, considering RAM prices are decent right now.
