I'm traveling internationally to attend re:Invent, and I'm not a first-timer. My trip involves two flights, with the outbound trip going through Canada and the return through LA. Given the ongoing federal shutdown, like issues with Air Traffic and TSA, how likely is it that I'll face cancellations or delays? Also, are there any other changes I should expect in terms of travel logistics, hotels, or experiences in Vegas compared to previous years?

Most airlines are reportedly prioritizing international flights, so I wouldn’t stress too much about your outbound trip. Coming back, you might encounter a slightly higher risk of delays, but major airports like Vegas and LAX usually manage well under pressure. It’s hard to guarantee anything, though!
If the government shutdown continues, domestic air travel in the US might face some disruptions. I've heard that reports suggest about one in five domestic flights could be affected soon. While there haven't been strong predictions for international flights, I'd keep an eye on updates just in case.
I doubt the shutdown will extend past Thanksgiving, but with the current situation, it's hard to know for sure.
Don't forget about the potential for snowstorms in December! If you can, try to book longer layovers to have some buffer for delays.
Expect possible delays, especially for domestic flights. It might be smart to arrive at the airport earlier than usual just in case. Also, if there's a flight cancellation, it might happen before you leave Canada, so keep an eye out for alternatives. Same goes for your return trip.

I read that they mentioned international flights could remain largely unaffected, but with everything in flux, it’s wise to stay alert to any updates!
