Need Help Installing the Orchid Theme on Linux Mint

I'm new to Linux and I'm trying to install the Orchid theme on my Linux Mint 22.2 (Cinnamon 6.4.8). I found this beautiful theme on GitHub and downloaded the zip file. After uncompressing it, I ran the install script with the command './install.sh -t orange' to use the orange variant. Although some icons have changed on my panel, it seems like the theme isn't applied to windows, like the file explorer, as expected. I'm not sure what else to do. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you actually select the Orchid theme in your system settings after installation. Sometimes the themes need to be manually activated; they don’t just apply automatically. Go to your settings, check the appearance section, and see if you can select the theme there!

Thanks for the tip! I'll check that out.

Yeah, that should solve it!

Just a heads up: not every app or theme works perfectly on Linux, especially if they're not installed from official repositories. I took a look at the Orchid theme, and while it looks great, customizing your system like that can be tricky for beginners. Personally, I stick to themes from my desktop environment’s official resources. But hey, you're diving into the deep end, just be patient with the learning process!

Got it! I guess I'll stick to safer themes for now.

That makes sense! I'll try looking into official themes.
