Upgrading My Son’s Gaming PC: Cooling and GPU Advice Needed

I initially decided against upgrading my son's PC, but now I'm thinking it's time for some improvements. I definitely want to replace the cooling system, as it seems to run at 100% all the time, which has been pretty annoying. I also want to upgrade the GPU to help it run smoother for gaming. I'm curious about where I should invest my money and what kind of costs I should expect for these upgrades. While I don't have an unlimited budget, I'm looking to get the PC ready for my son to play some games, starting with World of Warcraft.

First off, you'll want to check if your fans are 3-pin DC or 4-pin PWM—this can really affect how your cooling system works. Make sure the fan control settings in the BIOS are set correctly for your fans. For a decent GPU upgrade without breaking the bank, consider the 9060XT with 16GB; it’s a significant upgrade and relatively affordable. Just a heads up, if your fans are only powered by the PSU and not plugged into the motherboard, they'll run at full speed all the time because there’s no control over them!

Thanks for the tip! I think I may have just decided to get a newer PC instead. But I’ll check the fans and BIOS settings today to see what’s up. Most of the connections look like 4-pin to me, but I’ll clean things up and see if I can sort this out!
