Hey everyone, I made the jump to Linux after getting tired of Windows. I was having a blast working through the command line, so I decided to completely wipe my laptop and install Linux Mint. It worked well, but I didn't feel like I was really learning anything. So, I went ahead and uninstalled Mint and opted for Arch Linux instead. After a lot of trial and error, I finally managed to reach the login screen after the installation. However, I'm at a bit of a loss about what I should do next. Any advice?

You’re almost there! If you can get to the login screen, that’s a big step! Just keep going, and within a year, you’ll be much more comfortable. Learning takes time, so don’t stress too much about it.
Honestly, you can just start using your computer like normal! Explore the desktop environment, go online, install some applications, and play around with things. The best way to learn is by doing, so don’t hesitate to dive in and experiment.
It might be worth considering going back to Linux Mint if you're feeling overwhelmed. It's more user-friendly and can help you ease into Linux better. Arch is great, but it has a steeper learning curve.
You mentioned a 'login page'—if that’s just the login screen after installation, you’re already pretty advanced! Once logged in, try installing a desktop environment like KDE Plasma or GNOME and then explore different software.
I get it! Arch can be tough if you’re new, but it’s a great learning opportunity. If you’re stuck before installing any apps, revisiting the installation guide can be helpful. And don’t rush, it’s all part of the journey!
