What games can I comfortably play on my upgraded PC?

I've recently upgraded my PC to a Xeon E3 1245 V2 processor (3.7 GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads) and added an R7 240 graphics card with 1GB GDDR5. I also have 6GB of RAM and I'm running Windows 10 MiniOS 64-bit. Before this upgrade, I was using a Celeron G550 with much lower specs. Now that I've made these improvements, I'm curious about what games I can actually play on my PC. Are there specific titles or genres that would run well?

You might want to stick with simpler games or indie titles. Think of classics like Minesweeper or something more engaging like Hollow Knight or Daggerfall. Those should run on your setup without too much trouble!

For more recent titles, you’ll probably be looking at games from before 2013 for decent performance. Some indie games optimized for low specs can run well too, even some e-sports titles might hit around 30 FPS on your system.

Yeah, I've seen some people playing Fortnite on setups like this but you'll need to crank down the graphics quite a bit to get it moving smoothly.

And don't overlook the retro gaming scene! A lightweight OS like Batocera could help you dive into some retro classics.

Honestly, your setup is perfect for those super simple indie games or retro titles. Anything made before 2011 should run fine. Just remember, gameplay experience might be limited with anything modern.
