How Can I Quiet Down My PC’s Loud Fans?

I recently built a new PC using the NZXT H6 Flow case, which has three 120mm fans at the front for intake, two 140mm fans at the bottom for intake, and three 120mm exhaust fans on the radiator. I've also noticed there's a spot for an additional rear exhaust fan, but I haven't added one since the panel is already quite perforated. Coming from an older build that had minimal airflow, I'm really focused on getting this one right.

When gaming, my Ryzen 7 9800X3D hits around 80°C when under heavy load, but I'm more concerned about the noise. It's pretty loud even when I'm just casually using the computer, and I was hoping it would be quieter during lighter tasks. I adjusted the fan curves in the BIOS before, but I'm unsure if that's the best approach or if there are other ways to manage the fan speeds. I also wonder if the thermal paste I applied could be causing issues, as the cooler came with pre-applied paste, and I might not have installed it perfectly. What do you think?

Adjusting the fan curves in the BIOS is definitely a good practice! It lets you set how aggressive the fans are based on temperature, which can help lower noise when your system isn’t under heavy load. You might also want to check out an app like FanControl for more precise adjustments directly from Windows.

I was wondering about that too! I thought a less aggressive curve might lead to higher temps, especially if it's already warm, but it seems like a good way to manage noise without frying my components!
