Hey everyone,
I'm in British Columbia, Canada (PST -8) and I'm facing a serious issue with my client's Microsoft 365 account. A few days ago, I discovered that their tenant was hacked. All three Global Admin accounts were stripped of their rights, and new admin accounts were added without our knowledge, leaving me completely locked out of the Admin Center.
Here's a timeline of what's happened so far:
- **Oct 30, 2025**: I contacted Microsoft for help and got a case number. I was told that the Data Protection team would reach out within two days.
- **Oct 31, 2025**: I heard nothing back.
- **From Nov 3 to Nov 7**: I've been calling Microsoft multiple times every day. I've talked to numerous Technical Advisors, all assuring me that someone from the Data Protection team would call me back shortly, but I've received no callbacks and experienced several disconnections during my calls.
- **Today (Nov 7)**: I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 1.5 hours, only to have to explain the whole situation again and get disconnected again.
I'm really at my wit's end. I just want to regain access to the Admin Center. Can anyone recommend a more direct way to contact Microsoft's Data Protection team? Or share any advice on what I can do next? Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you considered contacting your cyber liability insurance provider? If there's a breach, it might be serious enough to involve them, especially if there's a chance client data is compromised. This feels bigger than just admin access issues!
You might want to try calling the Azure Data Protection Team directly at +1-866-807-5850. It could save you some time instead of going through the general support line.
Thanks so much, I’ll definitely give this number a shot! I've been stuck calling the same numbers over and over.

I appreciate the suggestion! I've determined that only one Global Admin account was compromised, but I want to take all precautions. I just keep being told to contact Microsoft, which hasn’t worked so far.
