Why Can’t I Transfer Videos to My External Drive Despite Plenty of Space?

I have an external hard drive with about 4.45 TB of free space and it's formatted as exFAT. I've already run disk cleanup, emptied the recycle bin, and restarted my computer. However, when I try to transfer over 2 TB of video files, I get a message saying there's not enough space. The drive shows 457 GB free and a total size of 2.72 TB, but Disk Management indicates there are no other partitions. This is really frustrating! Any help would be appreciated.

What does Disk Management show for the drive's capacity and free space? It might be displaying the correct amounts but sometimes it's worth a check to confirm there's no glitch.

Have you tried splitting the number of videos you're moving in half? It might help if the transfer fails when you're moving too many at once. Sometimes large batches can trip up the system.

What brand is your external drive? Sometimes the manufacturer can give clues about issues like this, especially with amount of space and file transfer problems.
