I bought a prebuilt PC during the Covid lockdown, knowing very little about computers at the time. Now, I'm considering upgrading my GPU but I'm worried about potential bottlenecks in my setup. My specs include an RTX 3060 with 12GB VRAM, an Intel i9-10900KF, 64GB of RAM, a 700W power supply unit, and an MPG Z490M Gaming Edge motherboard. Can anyone offer advice on what I should consider before upgrading?

Upgrading your GPU is definitely a good move! Just keep in mind that your choice will depend on your budget. Do you know the exact model of your power supply? It could impact what GPUs you can support.
You've got plenty of room for a better GPU! While the 10900K is a bit older, it's still solid. I'd recommend looking at the AMD 6800XT or 6800 on the AMD side, and for Nvidia, the RTX 4070 or 4070 Ti are great options. Just a note: the RTX 4070 has 12GB of VRAM, which might bottleneck at higher resolutions, but it's a good value if you're sticking to MSRP. Your power supply should handle these upgrades, provided it’s a reliable model. Do you have any plans to upgrade the CPU eventually?
Not right now, but after my last AIO cooler upgrade, I'm open to improving other parts one at a time.

No, I haven't checked the model yet. I guess I might need to take it out to find out!
