Issues with GPU Power Cables—Need Help!

I've been having some trouble with my GPU, and I suspect the issue might stem from using two daisy-chained cables connected to a 12HVPOWER adapter with three 8-pin connections split across two PSU cables. I've purchased new cables, but they look different from the old ones. I noticed that the 'active' pins aren't in the same positions. Is it safe to use these new cables? I have a Corsair RM850 power supply and the new cables are designed for NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards. Additionally, I suspect the adapter might be faulty. Here are pictures of both my old cables and the new ones for comparison.

The cables for GPU and CPU are different. The CPU cable has 4 12V pins and 4 ground pins, while PCIe cables have 3 12V pins and 5 ground pins. The 8-pin ports on your PSU can match with a CPU cable, but it doesn't matter which 12V pin is unused when you're using a PCIe cable, so you should be good with the new cables as long as they're compatible.

Thanks for clarifying! Just to make sure, I can plug any of the blue connectors into my GPU, right? I thought the slots had to be specific for PCIe or CPU.
