Is My GPU Safe If the Sag Bracket Was Resting on a Fan?

I installed my RX 9070 XT graphics card back in March, and I used one of those sag brackets to prevent it from drooping. While upgrading my SSD, I realized that the sag bracket was positioned over the third fan. I'm worried if this could have damaged my GPU. Should I be concerned?

Just be creative with the bracket! MacGyver it to work better! But seriously, keep an eye on that fan and make sure nothing is getting stuck. You can usually just give it a little nudge to reposition it.

If the sag bracket was just resting on the edge of the fan, you're probably fine. Ideally, it should be secured to one of the fan holes. Just keep an eye on it to ensure it's positioned correctly when you move your PC.

Unfortunately, it was actually on the fan blade itself, so that's a bit concerning.

Yeah, that could cause some issues. Make sure to check the fan to see if it’s still spinning properly.
