Is One Intake Fan Enough for My PC?

Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC with a 9070 XT, a 7800X3D processor, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. My setup includes one intake fan, one exhaust fan at the back, and two fans on top for the AIO cooler. I'm using a Be Quiet Pure Base 501 ATX case. I'm wondering if this fan configuration is sufficient for good airflow and cooling performance. Thanks for your input!

If your temps are fine right now, you're probably good. Having 2 intake and 1 exhaust is fine for most builds, but if that case is lacking in airflow, adding another intake could help a lot.

I'm running a similar setup with 2 intake and 1 outtake in a less-than-ideal case during a hot Australian summer. My CPU peaks around 90°C but stays stable in the mid-80s, and I keep my GPU nicely cooled as well. It works for me! Just stress test your setup to see how the temps look.

Honestly, that case isn’t the best for airflow, even with more fans. It’ll function, but if you’re looking for optimal temps, you might want to consider adding more intake fans. If your Pure Base 501 doesn’t have a mesh front, definitely add some!

Having just one intake fan means you might have a negative pressure setup, which can lead to dust buildup over time. It’s generally better to flip your AIO fans for more intake—think 3 intake and 1 exhaust to keep airflow efficient and minimize dust.

It might be time for a new case, but if you can't manage that right now, adding two more intake fans in front would definitely improve airflow. Every little bit helps!
