I've stumbled upon some unusual log files in my documents on my Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. One file, from hdmapp, is quite large at 254 MB and shows a series of timestamps when I view it in plain text. I can't remember installing anything that would generate these files, and I'm worried they might be related to a system app or even worse, a virus. Has anyone else encountered something like this? How can I ensure that my phone is safe?

You should definitely run a full system scan with Malwarebytes. It's a reliable antivirus that can help identify any malware. Also, if you're trying to upload the file to VirusTotal but it's saying the file is in use, try restarting your phone first. This can sometimes free up the file so that you can upload it without any issues.
I had a similar experience before. Those logs you're seeing might be legit system files, but it's always good to double-check. If you can't upload to VirusTotal, consider extracting the hash of the file using a file manager app and then uploading just the hash for analysis instead. It could give you some peace of mind.
