I'm a seasoned web developer with about 8 years of experience specializing in frontend development using Typescript and frameworks like React and Vue. After a five-year hiatus from building websites, I've gone self-employed and want to focus on creating websites for small businesses. With the massive advancements in web technology over the last few years, I'm seeking advice on the best tools and methods for building two types of websites: a simple, static 5-page site with a homepage and contact form, and a more complex site that allows clients to make their own edits through a CMS. I'm working with budgets of $1000 to $4000 for these projects and am looking for efficient solutions that will help me deliver professional, easy-to-maintain websites.

Given your background, I think WordPress is still a solid choice, especially for a brochure website. Tons of themes and plugins make it easy to set up and maintain. But I'd love to hear what alternatives you’re considering!

I really enjoy using Astro for projects! It’s modern and flexible, and for CMS needs, Strapi is a great option. It allows for lots of customization without getting too complex.

Astro looks interesting! I'll definitely check it out for my next project.
