How Can I Play PC Games on My 85″ HDTV Downstairs?

I'm looking to enjoy gaming on my big 85" TV downstairs, but my PC is upstairs and the display cable can't reach down there. What are my options for connecting the two? Is there an affordable way to do this? Also, I'm curious about streaming games from my PC to the TV without using cloud services. How would an Xbox controller work in this setup while I'm downstairs? Thanks for any help!

I actually bought a 50-foot fiber optic cable for around $100. It’s super reliable for longer connections without any signal loss. It might be a bit of an overkill, though! Just make sure to handle it carefully to keep it in good shape.

Using hardware like the discontinued Steam Link used to be a solid solution, but you can now use devices like an Apple TV that run the Steam Link app. If you want the best quality, you might consider drilling a hole and using a 100' fiber HDMI extender.

If I go that route, how would I set up my keyboard and mouse or controller while I'm downstairs?

One option is to get a really long HDMI cable, like a 100-foot one, but keep in mind the quality of the cable and your setup.

Definitely check out Steam's in-home streaming feature or Moonlight for game streaming. They're great tools for playing from a distance.
