Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a PC for a friend and we're going with an Intel i9-14900K paired with the ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi motherboard. I wanted to know if I can use 2x64GB RAM with this setup. I've read that the DIMM slots can handle up to 512 GB, but the specs on the motherboard say it supports a maximum of 128GB with 4 x DIMM, which makes me think the limit is actually 4x32GB. We're planning to use the CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 2x64GB 6400MHz (CMK128GX5M2B6400C42). Thanks for your help!

The QVL usually doesn't get updated, but I think 2x64GB kits might still work fine. You might just need to manually set the timings and frequency in the BIOS. Just a heads up though, if you go for 4x32GB, don't expect great performance without XMP/EXPO working as it's a lot slower.

It looks like 2x64GB kits aren't listed on ASUS's approved memory list, so I'd be cautious. They do support 2x48GB kits, which could be a safer bet. Just to keep in mind, compatibility can sometimes be hit or miss with unlisted models.
