Having Trouble Switching Between Game Tabs on Windows 11

I'm dealing with a frustrating issue on my Windows 11 system while gaming. When I have two games open and try to switch between them, I can't do it smoothly; instead, the game I'm trying to move to just flickers like it's trying to reopen the tab and doesn't let me switch. This only happens with games, and I've tested it with various ones, including some on Steam. Interestingly, it doesn't happen with other applications like Notepad or Spotify. The only way I've found to switch tabs is by minimizing one of the games repeatedly until it finally lets me tab out. Also, when I'm in a full-screen or borderless window game and hit Alt+Tab, I can get stuck in full screen or struggle to get back into the game. I've done virus scans and checked my settings, but so far, nothing has helped. I've linked a video to demonstrate the issue better.

Interesting seems like a windows problem, are we all running windows 11 newest update?

You might want to try changing both games to borderless windowed or full screen windowed mode instead of exclusive fullscreen. You can set this up by going to your Steam launch options and adding: `-windowed -noborder`. It’s not a guaranteed fix for every game, but it's worth a shot!

Thanks, but both games in the video are already in windowed mode. I usually only switch to borderless when I’m full screen, so I appreciate the suggestion!

I'm having a similar problem, and it's super annoying! I tried rolling back drivers, going back a Windows update, and even using command prompt to fix errors, but no luck. It just started a couple of days ago for me, and it seems to affect Chrome and Minecraft too. Sometimes it even feels like a button is already pressed when I try to switch!
