What Should I Do About This GPU Release Lever?

I was cleaning my PC and found a small lever next to my GPU, which I later learned is called the 'Q-Release Latch.' I pressed it, and now it's stuck down with the GPU still in place. I'm not sure how to remove or disassemble the GPU properly to put the lever back up. Is it okay to leave it down like this? What should I do?

That lever is a quick release for the GPU, making it easier to remove from the PCI slot. If you pressed it without reseating the GPU, it won't go back up until you reinsert the GPU into the PCI slot. Don't turn on your PC until you fix it! Check out this helpful YouTube video for guidance: [Link](https://youtube.com/shorts/4RHMnl7D1Mc?si=3y45NTQjSD27yuJZ).

The GPU is really tight, and I pushed the button but can't close it. I’m currently using the PC, but I’m worried it might get damaged with the latch down. What should I do?

When you try to reinsert your GPU, make sure your PC is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet. It’s a good idea to also hold the power button for about 10 seconds to discharge any residual power. Just be safe!

Got it! I’ll make sure to unplug it and discharge it before I try to fix the GPU.
