Why Does My iPhone Only Charge When It’s Dead?

I've got an iPhone, either a 13 or a 15, and I've been having this weird issue lately. A few weeks ago, it completely died. When I plugged it in, the Apple logo appeared, but it never actually turns on. Sometimes it manages to boot, but it doesn't charge while it's on. It just sits at 1% for a minute before dying again. I've tried multiple chargers, including wireless ones, so I don't think it's the charger or the charging port. A couple of tech guys I talked to mentioned it might be a battery problem or an issue with the motherboard. What do you all think? I'm really hoping it's just the battery since motherboard issues are apparently harder to fix!

Honestly, showing it to Apple is probably your best bet. They can properly diagnose the problem instead of just relying on guesses from the internet!

Yeah, for sure! It's not like it's super old. Regular use can wear down the battery fast, though.
