I'm planning a PC build for early 2026, and I found a deal on a Ryzen 5 9600X for €150 in France. I'm not sure if I should get it now or wait to purchase a more expensive R7 7800X3D later. My overall budget is between €1500 and €1800, and I aim to use a 5070 Ti for 1440p ultra gaming and music production. I don't currently have an income, but I do have some savings. If I buy the 9600X, I won't be able to use it until I complete the rest of my build, which won't be until February 2026. Should I snag this deal now and potentially resell it later, or should I hold off and wait for the 7800X3D?

You might want to look into cheaper RAM options instead of downgrading your CPU. The 9600X should give you a decent performance, and you can always upgrade later if needed.
Definitely, it's a solid price for the 9600X! It can handle gaming and production tasks quite well, especially for the budget you’re working with.

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep an eye on RAM prices when I finalize the build. I had a better deal a while back, so I hope it works out.
