Hey everyone! I'm diving into building my first computer, and I balance my time between gaming and music production. I play games, but I also work on big music projects that require a lot of CPU and memory. I'm trying to keep my budget tight but am open to suggestions if there's something critically wrong with my parts list.
My main concerns are whether the cooling setup is adequate, if the motherboard is a good choice, and whether my RAM selection is optimal in terms of speed and timing. I'd really appreciate any advice you can provide, and feel free to ask any questions if you need more details! Here's a link to my parts list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4LrHwY](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4LrHwY). Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same situation as you! If your build is within budget, it should handle both gaming and music production quite well, depending on your expectations. Personally, I recommend having two separate 1TB drives—one for games and another for your music projects. Those plugins and libraries can fill up space fast! My system runs on an i5-12600k with 16GB of RAM, and I can manage 20 tracks in my DAW without any issues.

I use Reaper too! Some of my projects go up to 60 or 70 tracks! I’m considering adding another drive myself.
