I have an MSI GF63 12UC laptop and I'm looking to replace my current SSD with a larger one since I need more storage. I'm considering the Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD (2 TB), but I've never replaced a laptop component before. My main concern is whether this SSD will be compatible with my laptop.

MSI's specs confirm that your GF63 12UC has a Gen 4 NVMe 2280 slot and a 2.5" SATA slot. You'll need to reinstall Windows after the upgrade, but the 990 EVO Plus should work great, as I've used a similar one in my older laptop without issues.
According to your laptop manual, it can support an NVMe SSD, specifically the 2280 dimension, which the 990 EVO Plus fits perfectly. It also has a 2.5-inch SATA slot, so you could use that for additional storage if needed. Just check what your existing drive is, you can find that in Task Manager.

I appreciate the info! I got mixed up with Nvidia since that's the sticker on my laptop, lol. Thanks for clarifying!
