I'm a beginner looking for some help with my PC build. I want to ensure it can handle everything from simple graphics and video editing to basic AI tasks. Ideally, I'm aiming for a well-rounded setup that won't become obsolete too quickly—something that can still perform reasonably well three years from now. My budget is between $2000 and $2500, but I have some flexibility if needed. Here's my current build for reference: [link to build]. Any advice on changes or improvements would be greatly appreciated!

Your build link is set to private, so I can't see it right now! But here’s a general tip: it's tough to future-proof a PC these days since tech evolves so fast. Typically, you might find yourself needing an upgrade in 3 to 5 years no matter what you spend. It's that old saying from Nvidia—"the more you spend, the more you save"—which doesn't always hold true! Just focus on getting a solid build for your current needs, and don't stress too much about future proofing.
Looking at your parts, you might want to switch your motherboard to one with a B850 chipset instead of the X670. Unless you're planning on using a lot of M.2 drives and extra PCIe lanes—which sounds like you might not—it's just not needed! Plus, your CPU is already a bit older, at around 3 years. Your GPU is solid for now but isn’t the latest and greatest. Also, if you find a good deal, consider getting a CL30 RAM kit—it can help with performance.
Thanks for the suggestions! So you think I should definitely update the CPU? I'm open to that if it helps!

Apologies for the private link! I’ve made it public now. I get what you're saying about the future tech—just want something that ages gracefully enough to last a bit. Thanks for the input!
