Hey everyone! I'm trying to set up an Ubuntu VM on our Azure Local Cluster, but I'm running into some issues. When I try to create a new VM, the Azure interface only shows me Windows images from the Marketplace, and I can't find any Linux options. I did see Ubuntu 24.04 LTS in the Azure Marketplace, but it only lets me create a VM in standard Azure and not on our Azure Local setup. Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just to clarify, if you create a VM locally, it should appear in the Azure Local Virtual Machines blade. You'll want to make sure everything is connected correctly to see it there. Stick with the local management tools that come with your Azure Local setup; they usually give you more flexibility than the Azure portal does.
It sounds like you might be approaching it from the wrong platform. You could actually manage your Azure Local Cluster using tools like Failover Cluster Manager, just like with Hyper-V. You'd need to use your own ISO for Ubuntu and put it in shared storage for setup. Windows Admin Center can also help you manage your Azure Local resources better, so give that a shot! It might be a bit different than what you're expecting since it skips the Azure portal. But, hey, if you need to get it done fast, that's one way to do it!
