I'm having trouble getting my Samsung T7 Shield to work with my new iPhone 17 Pro. It used to connect just fine with my iPad and my previous iPhone (iPhone 16e), but now it doesn't show up in the Files app at all. I'm using the cable that came with the SSD, which is USB-C to USB-C, and I've also tried using a USB-A adapter, but no luck. The drive is formatted in exFAT. Any suggestions to resolve this?

According to Apple’s support guidelines, external drives often require an external power source when plugged into an iPhone. Since the T7 doesn’t seem to provide its own power, you may want to try using a powered USB hub. If that's not helping, then there might be another compatibility issue.
It sounds like your T7 might need more power than what the iPhone can provide. I've had a similar issue with my iPhone 15 Pro, and a powered USB hub did the trick. The iPhone 17 Pro likely has a similar power output limitation. You got lucky with the 16e, but you might need a powered hub now to connect your SSD properly.
