Hi everyone! I'm in the process of interviewing for a position at Datadog and would love to get some honest feedback about their product. If you've used it in any way, could you share your experiences? What do you find good, bad, or even ugly about it? How do you incorporate it into your daily tasks or overall strategy? Additionally, I'm interested in hearing about any recent feature updates or changes, especially since there are other threads on this topic. Thanks for your insights!

Honestly, their support is lacking. I've had some frustrating experiences, which makes it hard to rely on them when issues arise.
Their SQL monitoring is fantastic! It gives detailed insights into individual queries, which has been invaluable for troubleshooting performance problems.
One thing I've noticed is the charges for log ingestion and retention. Datadog sends almost everything by default, which can be overwhelming. I've struggled with filtering and rate limits, and the documentation isn't very helpful—I've encountered outdated versions online.
If you appreciate detailed observability and don't mind spending a bit, it's a great tool! Just prepare for some costs.

Could you share more about what specific problems you faced with support? I'm curious how it’s been different for you compared to other services.
