Will My CPU Cooler Work with a Ryzen 7 5700X?

I built my PC about six years ago and I currently have a Ryzen 5 processor. I'm planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X, but I'm not sure if my existing CPU cooler will be compatible. It's installed on an MSI B450 Max motherboard, and I believe it's an AMD cooler, though I can't recall the exact model. Can someone confirm if my current cooler will fit the new CPU?

Your current cooler will most likely fit since you're sticking with the AM4 socket. Just double-check that it isn’t too tall for your case, especially if you have a smaller one.

Absolutely, it will fit. You should be all set!

Don't worry, all AM4 CPUs have the same dimensions, so any cooler designed for AM4 will fit the Ryzen 7 5700X. Plus, it's a relatively easy CPU to cool, so you should be good to go!
