I have a JBL Flip 3 speaker with a swollen battery that's stuck due to some adhesive foam. The only real access to the battery is through a tight opening, so I'm considering two options: yank out the connector wire or puncture it and remove it with a corkscrew. The speaker is fully dead since I kept trying to turn it on. I'm worried about safety, so should I do this outdoors? Should I have a hose nearby in case of fire?

Do NOT puncture that battery! It's super dangerous and could release toxic gas that can harm you. Even if you do it outside, you’re still at risk. Plus, if it catches fire, water might not do anything to help. Try to find a way to remove it without causing damage. It's better to be cautious!
Honestly, instead of taking any risks, just buy a new speaker. It's not worth jeopardizing your safety over one broken unit.

That's scary! Any safer alternatives for removing it? I saw the corkscrew method mentioned online.
