I've noticed something strange after installing Windows Update KB5068861 on my laptop, which has a clean install of Windows 11 25H2 that specifically excluded the Recall feature. After the update, I saw a "Recall (preview)" icon show up in the Recommended section of my Start menu, and there was also a Recall checkbox under the "Turn Windows features on and off" options. I unchecked the box and rebooted my device, which removed the icon. I'm starting to worry that unless there are strict Windows policies preventing Recall from being installed, Microsoft might be pushing it onto users regardless of their choice.

I don’t really see the downside here. Recall seems pretty handy, so why not give it a shot? It might come in handy later!
