I'm considering building my own gaming desktop since the second-hand options in my area haven't been great. I want to start with 16GB of RAM now (because prices are high) and plan to upgrade in the future, especially the GPU in a couple of years. Here's the build I've thought of:
**CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
**CPU Cooler**: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3 71.93 CFM
**Motherboard**: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
**Memory**: Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (2 × 8 GB) DDR5-5600 CL40
**Storage**: Kingston NV3 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD
**Video Card**: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB
**Case**: NZXT H5 Flow (2024) ATX Mid Tower
**Power Supply**: MSI MAG A650BN 650 W 80+ Bronze
The total should come to around 800 euros. Do you think this setup is good for gaming?

Just so you know, unless you can find the H5 Flow case at a good price, there are cheaper options out there. Also, if you're planning for future upgrades, aim for a B850 motherboard instead of the B650.
For gaming, I suggest considering a 6-core AM5 CPU instead. It can save you some cash without losing much performance. Also, look for 2x16GB of RAM with decent speed (6000 CL30 or similar) right from the start. The RAM you picked is a bit slow and you won't be able to upgrade it later. Overall, 800 EUR for this build looks solid!

That's a good point! The B850 is about the same price, is it actually a better option than the B650?
