I'm searching for a new computer for my mom that is both practical and budget-friendly. It doesn't need to have all the latest features—just something reliable that will last. Since she uses an iPhone, I'm leaning towards a Mac. However, with so many choices out there, I'm wondering if a refurbished Mac from BestBuy would be a good idea. Also, with Cyber Monday approaching, does anyone have tips on where to find the best deals on a Mac? Thanks in advance!

Walmart has had the M1 MacBook Air for about $649, and it’s now down to $599 for Black Friday. They’re also offering the 13" M4 for $899. Both are fantastic options! I have the M1 Air and it's currently updated to the latest MacOS. Plus, using a Mac makes it really easy to sync things with your iPhone, like photos and music, through iCloud.
A Chromebook could be a solid option if she primarily uses a Gmail account. They're usually user-friendly and great for web browsing and email.
It really depends on how she plans to use it. If she's looking for something just for browsing and emails, maybe consider an iPad instead. They're user-friendly and a great versatile option!

I don't fully agree. I use Gmail but would never limit myself to a Chromebook. If you're considering a Mac, check out refurbished options from Apple. A Mac Mini could work well if she has a monitor, or a MacBook Air if she's starting from scratch. Another great choice is the iMac, which combines everything into one display.
