Hey everyone,
I've been noticing that my computer tends to lag, especially when I switch between applications or open new tabs in Explorer, save or open files in Excel, etc. My task manager stats show that I have a total of 16 GB of RAM, with 14.5 GB currently in use (compressed), and only 1.1 GB available. I'm also seeing committed memory of 30.3 out of 47.6 GB.
The main memory hog seems to be Google Chrome, using about 2 GB right now.
As for my computer specs, I have a Lenovo Yoga 9i Pro with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and two SSDs. The operating system is Windows 11 (Home Edition).
I mainly run two OneDrive accounts (personal and business), but not much else is running in the background. The lag isn't too severe, but it's noticeable enough for a relatively new and powerful laptop. Any ideas on what's going on?

Have you checked if your RAM is really maxed out when you feel the sluggishness? Try looking at the task manager or resource monitor to see if it’s the RAM, CPU, GPU, or your disk that's being taxed the most.
You're seeing a loss of 2.5 GB in memory pools, which can really add up. There might be other applications or processes eating up your RAM. Consider using RAMMap to get a clearer picture of your memory usage; it can be very insightful.
I suspect OneDrive could be straining your resources, especially if it's syncing or using up memory. I upgraded to 32 GB of RAM and noticed a significant improvement in performance. If you're frequently running multiple programs or having many browser tabs open, more RAM might help you out.

I checked it, and RAM is usually at the top in usage; it's just shy of maxing out. The others remain relatively low though. I mostly do office work and browse the web, so it shouldn't be too taxing on the CPU.
