How can I keep my laptop running at full performance on battery?

I'm having a frustrating problem with my laptop. When I unplug it from the charger, it automatically drops to low performance mode, which really messes up my gaming experience. The charging port is also getting loose, and I have to wiggle the plug to get it to charge properly. Sometimes, it unplugs accidentally during a game, and then I end up stuck in low performance mode until I restart my laptop. Is there a way to force it to stay on high performance while running on battery?

I think the problem is more about your battery not supplying enough power. Gaming laptops usually struggle to maintain full performance on battery alone. Also, fixing that loose charging port should be a priority.

Most gaming laptops will throttle their performance on battery to protect the hardware. You can't completely force max performance. Honestly, fixing your charging port will probably help a lot; once it’s stable, your performance issues might go away.

If you’re using Windows, you can check the power settings. There should be options to adjust how your laptop behaves when it’s not plugged in. You might be able to set it to high performance even on battery.

Yeah, I've seen that in the power settings before on my laptop too. It definitely helps with performance!
