Advice Needed for Upgrading My Desktop

I'm considering upgrading my desktop since it's been running slower lately. I know I need to replace my disk drives and am planning to invest in an NVMe SSD. However, I'm unsure whether to just upgrade the drive now or if I should go ahead and upgrade other components as well. I haven't changed anything in over 5 years, and my current specs are Intel Core i7-9700F, RTX 2060, an Asus Prime H310M-A R2.0 motherboard, a 240GB SSD, a 2TB HDD, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I'd like advice on what to prioritize, especially since my current setup doesn't support Windows 11. I'm thinking about upgrading my motherboard and CPU, but I know those changes often lead to needing a new GPU too. This is my first time really diving into upgrading, so any help on where to start would be appreciated! I'd like to keep the budget around $500.

I’d recommend starting with the NVMe drive. Get it installed and do a clean Windows 11 installation on it. After that, you can transfer any important files from your old SSD. As for the motherboard, it seems like your current one doesn't really support the latest features, but you can upgrade the BIOS to install Windows 11. Check for updates on the ASUS support site. A great NVMe drive to consider is the MSI Spatium M480 Pro, which is really fast and would pair nicely with your system.

I initially thought my motherboard couldn’t run Windows 11 since I didn't see drivers listed, but now I get it! Thanks for clarifying, I agree that starting with the SSD makes sense, and I appreciate your suggestions!
